I am in Saigon, Vietnam, again this week. Time for my annual visit with the auditors who do the audit of our company here.
Last evening, we did a St. Patrick's day buffet at a local "pub." The owner is Irish, but most of the patrons were Australian or, like us, Americans. The buffet was not very Irish. There was, however, an acoustic guitar player who started out playing some Irish sounding music, but as the night progressed, the tunes morphed into the Rolling Stones' "Honkey-Tonk Women" and Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven"
While we in the States are an automobile society, the Vietnamese are definitely motor-scooter-centric. This is what the street near the front of our "pub" looked like when we arrived. Considering the number of people crowding the streets, the cycles are a very efficient way to get around.
